A new phase of my life is about to begin. I need to get rid of the things that I don't need and start focusing on what's important in life. I need to live more and stop letting things be what makes my life. There are so many things in our world, that we end up by letting things rule our lives, we should be filling our lives with people, places, adventures, experiences, not things. So starting now, and as a New Years Resolution, I'm going to declutter my life.

Digital Detox:
  • Organise and unsubscribe to old blogs that I don't visit anymore
  • Declutter my bookmarks
  • Delete old emails, make folders, unsubscribe to newsletters I no longer read
  • Clean my hard drive, reorganise desktop folders
  • Organize and clean my backup drive
  • Declutter movies, music, photos and videos

Closet Decluter:
  • Take everything out of the closet
  • Separate clothes into 3 piles- Keep, Give away, Sell, Re-Style
  • Pijamas, sleeping clothes and working clothes
  • Make a list of things in need
  • Colour coordinate my clothes
  • Rearrange my shoe compartment
  • Declutter my Jewelry box
  • Underwear and socks draw
  • Bags collection

Paper CleanOut
  • Go though all my school/college works
  • Select the books that I want to keep
  • Organize my receipts and personal papers

Clear Out the Junk
  • Choose the items of decoration to keep
  • Go through all my drawers and clear out stuff
  • Organize my craft area
  • Clean the storage's under my bed
  • CD and DVD collection

Bathroom Madness
  • Trow away expired products
  • Get rid of products that I no longer use
  • Reorganize my bathroom cabinet
  • Declutter my nailpolish collection
  • Declutter my makeup

I will be posting some updates on this little project of mine, and maybe this time my journey to a minimalistic life doesn't fail. It's going to be a bit difficult to do this, and I may not become a true minimalist, but at least my live with be less full of material things and full of life experiences.
