Going green in 2013

I said before that I was going to be making another post on this subject, and I think that now is the time for that. I don't want to flood my blog with posts about this topic, I will only do it when I think it's absolutely necessary or if I really want to write about it, so this post will be filled with quite a few information's about the topic and with a few links you can visit.

For start I will be changing a few things in my life, simple things that will make a huge difference. I made a list of a few of them, some I will be able to change right away, other will take a few time but I will get there:
.
✦   Replace all plastic bags with tote bags (no more shopping bags from Zara, H&M, etc)
✦   Always carry one of those totes in my purse
✦   Replace chemical products with natural ones (shampoo, detergent, cloths, sponges.)
✦   Buy garbage bins for recycling
✦   Use organic/vegan makeup and beauty products
✦   Buy a re-usable coffee cup from Starbucks to carry my juice
✦   Buy re-usable water bottle (preferably with a filter)
✦   Find an alternative to tissue papers (maybe fabric tissues)
✦   Avoid large amounts of plastic on purchased items (like toys that have too much packing plastic)
✦   Avoid BPA (Bisphenol A) in plastics
✦   Eat less meat/fish/dairy and more fruit/vegetables/nuts

You can also watch some documentaries on this subject. I have been watching the ones from this list during February. Most of them have the links but the ones that don't are the ones that I still didn't found online. Also some of the documentaries are about being a vegan/vegetarian, but they are really good too, so if you want go watch one or two:

Now, I have also been going to a transition to a Vegan lifestyle when it comes to eating. I make green juices every morning and my lunch is always a fruit salad. For dinner I avoid eating meat, but sometimes I don't have an alternative (I still don't know how to make Tofu), but most of the times I eat soup. This topic will be a discussion for another post, for now I leave you it this one and I hope that it will make you think about the environment and about You.

  2. I just found your blog through hellocotton and I think it's lovely, you have a new follower :) This post is great and I already do a few of things on your list. I think it's a good thing you included the videos about vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, more people should see these things. I've been a vegetarian for all together 6 years now and I feel more healthy than ever before, but it's important that you do it the right way :)
